There are two readings that I found interesting this week within the “Educational Psychology.”  The first interesting component of my reading, that sparked my attention is how the brain functions and second is how “free-play helps child development. I found it interesting that two children who had a section of their brain removed were still able to learn via various hands-on activities.  This implies that the brain has more than one way of gathering knowledge and obtaining memory. So, there are numerous ways to teach and learn a skill depending on the student.   This also shows that when one part of the brain is missing that another part of the brain takes over to help a person learn new information.  Children can take learned behavior and develop their skills via “free-play.”              In addition, I admire Maria Montessori’s statement that, “play is a children’s work.” (76).  I love ...

Today I saw this picture on Facebook. The first thought that came to my mind, " what a beautiful family." The next thought that came to my mind is how blessed the children are to come from two rich cultures. Third, I hope the parents are teaching their children that they are a gift from God and last what a great Halloween costumes.

One assignment I really enjoyed doing is we video. I just like putting together pictures, music, and audio voice recording. I start to think how can I implement this into my lesson plans at. I know I would have to see if my school can get we video and see how much it cost. I also know my student would have fun doing this. I would love to see more creativity out of my students using technology. Thank you for all you taught me.

What I Learned in the Last 6 Weeks In the last 6 weeks I have gained a new wealth of knowledge from my technology class. I have learned about google drive, google classroom, google file and so much more. This class has been very challenging for me. Trying to learn all the information and recall what was taught was hard, thank God for notes. I learned to come out my comfort zone with technology. If it was not for this class, I would have never went on Twitter. I do not care for social media but now I understand how I can use social media for educational purpose. I know I would never had listen to a Podcast, but now I listen to NPR every weekend and even sometime on my lunch break at work. I am ready to embrace technology more then ever now. I want to be productive in teaching technology to myself and to my students.
